Director
Simon studied at The Welsh School of Architecture, qualifying in 1995.

Working as a freelancer initially he joined national consultancy Barton Willmore for 2 weeks…..and stayed for 18 years. He become Design Director, primarily leading on heritage projects but also overseeing architectural commissions across a very diverse range of building types.
​
In 2010 Simon helped establish ARENA 1865 Limited, a practice created to oversee the property portfolio of a family trust that had recently acquired Bath Rugby.
​
Through this bespoke role Simon oversaw the design and delivery of Bath Rugby’s new training and headquarters base at Farleigh House; an exceptional gothic revival mansion just outside Bath.
As an ‘in house’ resource he was able to be fully hands-on with projects, working closely with expert tradespeople and with the end users to refine every aspect.

He played a key role in Bath Rugby’s stadium project, 'Stadium for Bath'. This role continues via ASH Studios Ltd.
​
Simon also chairs the Bristol Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) providing advice and oversight on the care and development of over 200 church buildings.
